Job Title: Tile Technician

Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Tile Technician to join our team. The Tile Technician will be responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining tile floors, walls, and other surfaces in various settings such as homes, offices, and commercial buildings. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with different types of tiles, adhesives, grout, and other related materials. The Tile Technician should also be detail-oriented, have good communication skills and able to work efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled and calculate the amount of materials needed

Cut and shape tiles to fit around obstacles and into corners, using hand and power cutting tools

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and smoothing them before tiling

Mix and apply adhesives, grout, and sealants to tile surfaces
-
Align and straighten tiles using levels, squares, and plumb lines
-
Install and repair tile floors, walls, and other surfaces according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications
-
Inspect tiles for defects and replace or repair tiles as needed

Clean and maintain tools and equipment used in tiling work

Follow safety procedures and regulations in tiling work
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Proven experience as a Tile Technician or similar role
